President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine is not totally content with President Joe Biden’s promises of unwavering support for his country during his visit to France. He is still pleading with the United States and its allies to step up their assistance in order to turn the tide of the battle in Ukraine’s favor.Biden met Zelenskyy on Friday at a hotel in Paris,following his participation in a ceremony on Thursday commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.Biden reaffirmed American support for Ukraine until the very end.Zelenskyy said he was grateful for the U.S. support but that more needs to be discussed.”There are some details on the battlefield you need to hear from us,” he said,implying that there have been unreported wartime developments that he planned to address in private with Biden.They had a half-hour private conversation. Significantly, French President Emmanuel Macron announced oN Thursday that his country will train 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers and pilots and supply multiple Mirage 2000 combat jets. During his visit, Zelenskyy is also expected to meet with Macron.
