Elon Musk Pledges to Give Away $1 Million Per Day Until Election Day

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has committed to giving away $1 million each day leading up to November’s election, in an effort to support the U.S. Constitution and rally voters behind Republican candidate Donald Trump. On Saturday, Musk awarded the first $1 million check to John Dreher, an attendee at a Pennsylvania event aimed at garnering support for Trump.

Musk’s Campaign Push for Trump

During the event, Musk explained that his $1 million daily giveaway is connected to an online petition supporting the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Attendees at the event were required to sign the petition, which stated: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.” This petition also allows Musk’s political action committee, America PAC, which he founded to support Trump, to collect contact details of potential voters.

Musk’s initiative has provided a financial boost to Trump’s campaign and increased public attention. According to federal disclosures, Musk’s America PAC has reportedly received at least $75 million in funding from him, making the group a vital part of Trump’s strategy to reclaim the White House.

Political Messaging and Bold Claims

Musk’s speech in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, marked his third event in the state over several days. He stressed the high stakes of the election, warning that if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris wins, it would be the “last election,” implying it would mark the end of the U.S. as we know it. Musk also claimed that two assassination attempts on Trump show that the former president is disrupting the political establishment, in contrast to Harris, whom he labeled as a “puppet” incapable of such change.

Growing Influence and Impact

Musk’s increasing involvement in politics has drawn significant attention, particularly due to his financial support and public endorsements. His outspoken support for Trump has elevated the role of his wealth and political activity in the 2024 election. In return, Trump has stated that if elected, he would appoint Musk to head a government efficiency commission.

Musk’s engagement in the race, alongside his financial influence and efforts to mobilize voters through petitions and giveaways, signals a new level of involvement as the presidential election approaches. Whether these efforts will ultimately sway the outcome remains uncertain, but Musk’s continuous support underscores the magnitude of his political influence leading into November.
