120 Accusers Come Forward with Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Sean “Diddy” Combs
Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee revealed on Tuesday that he is representing 120 individuals who have accused hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual misconduct. The allegations, spanning over three decades from 1991 to the present, include claims from both male and female victims, with 25 minors at the time of the alleged abuse. One shocking account involves a male who claims he was just nine years old when the abuse occurred.
Buzbee stated that the lawsuits are expected to be filed within the next month, with most cases likely to be brought forth in New York and Los Angeles. “This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else,” Buzbee said at a press conference. He emphasized the extensive emotional and physical damage the alleged victims have suffered over the years, describing them as “injured, scared, and scarred.”
Combs’ Legal Defense Responds
Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, responded to the mounting accusations. “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” she said. Wolff criticized what she described as a “reckless media circus” and affirmed that Combs looks forward to clearing his name in court if the claims proceed.
Buzbee Represents a Large Group of Alleged Victims
Buzbee disclosed that over 3,280 individuals have contacted his firm with allegations against Combs. After a thorough vetting process, Buzbee’s firm chose to represent 120 of them, with many more cases still under review. Several individuals have reportedly spoken with federal authorities, including the FBI.
The attorney highlighted that the alleged misconduct occurred across 25 states, with most cases coming from California, New York, Georgia, and Florida. Buzbee also pointed out that many of the alleged incidents took place during parties in New York, California, and Florida, where victims were allegedly drugged. Additionally, some victims were reportedly coerced during auditions under the guise of opportunities to advance their careers.
Combs Faces Serious Charges
Combs, 54, remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after pleading not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges on September 17. Prosecutors accuse him of using his influence and wealth to orchestrate drug-fueled sexual events, dubbed “Freak Offs,” in which victims were allegedly exploited. Combs has denied all charges, including accusations of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
As one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures, Combs’ career spans decades. His notable achievements include three Grammy Awards and collaborations with legendary artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher. He is also the founder of Bad Boy Records and has built a vast business empire that includes a fashion line and a media company.
Buzbee’s Previous High-Profile Cases
Tony Buzbee is no stranger to high-profile legal battles, having previously represented women who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and misconduct. With a growing list of accusers coming forward against Combs, Buzbee’s involvement signals a potentially monumental case in the entertainment industry.
With lawsuits expected to be filed soon, the music mogul faces increasing legal challenges as his legal team prepares for a fierce battle to clear his name.
