Trump Attempts to Win Over Kennedy in Leaked Phone Call
In a recently leaked phone call, former President Donald Trump sought to persuade independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to endorse him. Trump highlighted anti-vaccine messaging and stressed the potential benefits of such an endorsement, saying, “It would be so good for you and so big for you.”

The recorded call revealed Trump discussing his experiences, including an incident where he claimed to have been shot by an AR-15-type weapon, as well as his conversations with President Biden. Trump appeared to align himself with Kennedy’s anti-vaccine stance during their discussion.

Kennedy issued an apology for the leak, explaining that he had been recording the call with an in-house videographer and should have ceased the recording immediately. He expressed regret over the conversation being made public.

This leaked conversation sheds light on Trump’s strategy to court Kennedy, who shares an appeal with some of Trump’s conspiracist-leaning supporters. It underscores Trump’s efforts to consolidate his base ahead of the November election.
