According to a race report by The Associated Press, Republican Tim Sheehy secured his party’s nomination on Tuesday to contest for Montana’s U.S. Senate seat.
In November, political novice Sheehy, a former Navy Seal and entrepreneur, will challenge Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester. Earlier this year, he faced off against his lack of legislative experience during a dinner with Montana Republicans.
Many individuals, including some in this room, have condemned me, asking questions like, ‘Who the hell is this guy? He has never held public office. He questioned, “What does he think he’s doing running for Senate?”
