  • Tropical Storm Watch Issued: A Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect for:
    • Guadeloupe
    • St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla
    • Saba and St. Eustatius
    • St. Martin and St. Barthelemy
    • Sint Maarten
    • British Virgin Islands
    • U.S. Virgin Islands
    • Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra

Potential Impacts:

  • Rainfall: Significant rainfall is expected, with the following accumulations:
    • Leeward Islands: 4 to 6 inches
    • Puerto Rico: 3 to 6 inches, with isolated maximum amounts of 10 inches
    • Windward Islands: 1 to 4 inches
    • Eastern Hispaniola: 2 to 4 inches
  • Wind: Tropical storm conditions in the watch area may begin late tonight or Tuesday. These conditions include strong winds, heavy rainfall, and potential flooding. Residents are advised to secure their properties and remain indoors during the storm.
  • Storm Surge: The eastern coast of Puerto Rico, as well as the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, is expected to experience a storm surge of 1 to 3 feet above ground level.
  • Surf: Life-threatening surf and rip currents will likely begin affecting portions of the Leeward Islands tonight.
